WallJAM: The Future of Sport
WallJAM is a brand new innovation that is attempting to get the kids away from the computer screen and out on the pitch. WallJAM is an interactive wall that allows players to perfect their skills and download their statistics. WallJAM is bringing something completely new to the playing field, combining traditional skill and exercise with the millennial Xbox edge.
“This will be a game-changer, revolutionising the way sport is taken up and played in schools and clubs” explains local entrepreneur Tim Worboys, founder of WallJAM. “Today’s tech savvy students are so used to receiving and sharing instant information, be that in the classroom or at home; performance data for ball sports has traditionally been the privilege of the professional - WallJAM seeks to change this”.
In a sedentary, computer centric world WallJAM appears to be the perfect solution, and has been endorsed by The DaVinci school in Stevenage. Its contoured shape is unique in encouraging repetition and continuity to help players improve with an interactive wall that uses high quality sensors to collect data and relay the information back to the coach and or player. Worboys doesn’t want to stop at ball sports and sees potential in WallJAM being at the forefront of most sports, it is even in the developmental stages of a dance and movement zone using the latest video technology.
Taking the business to the next level WallJAM has launched a Crowdcube campaign in a bid to have a full market release by 2014. They have already reached 84% of their target with 10 days to go!
