Arctic15: matching David with Goliath

EntrepreneurCountry Global Wednesday, 14 May 2014.

Finnish blog ArcticStartup is preparing to hold its third annual Arctic15 conference on the 27/28 May in Helsinki and, as its official title (Arctic 15: Exit Path) suggests, it looks set to deliver value for the whole startup lifecycle, from inception right up to exit. And matching David to Goliath is one of its primary aims.

artic15Startups attending the conference will be treated to talks from dozens of experts from across the business spectrum. Speakers include Electronic Arts Founder Trip Hawkins, Zynga Co-founder/Angel Investor Justin Waldron, Deutsche Telekom Investment Director Thomas Grota, and Ballou PR Founder/ CEO Colette Ballou.

Also on the menu are demo stands for startups looking to stand out, Investor Matchmaking, Co-founder and Acquisitions Speed Dating, Syndicating Services and plenty more. The best part of the billing, though, is set to be the Reverse Pitching session, in which corporate Goliaths are given the chance to pitch their problems to an audience of creative entrepreneurs.

By teaching Goliath how to dance with the innovative, creative Davids in the room, Arctic15 is recognising and facilitating a crucial part of the startup lifecycle. One which can supply the corporates with the creativity and innovation they need, offer VCs and Angels an exit plan, and give entrepreneurs a clear idea of the clients they should be serving with their ideas.
